About the MaineHealth Emergency Medical Services Program 
The MaineHealth Emergency Medical Service Program offers information and learning opportunities for pre-hospital providers who transport patients to hospitals in the MaineHealth system.
Physicians in the MaineHealth system develop educational materials, such as case reviews, that are delivered at member and affiliate hospitals and online through a partnership QuantiaMD. As the EMS program grows, we will offer additional educational aids that pre-hospital providers may use to earn and maintain certification.
The state of Maine is separated into six EMS regions.
Member and affiliate hospitals in the MaineHealth system operate in four of the six regions.
